Continually improving the service for the people that use it is important. This is achieved in a number of ways. Informal and formal comments from service users are taken into account when redesigning the service. We also undertake regular audits against policy standards to see how we are doing.

Further training and monitoring is in place to ensure improvement continues.
Resolving Missed Out Patient Appointments
Missed appointments waste clinician time and health service resources. We are currently looking at how we can increase the uptake of the appointments given. Letters are now sent confirming that an appointment is required before it is sent. Calls are also made prior to the appointments as a reminder.
Continence Promotion
Ensuring the public has useful and appropriate information on achieving and maintaining continence is ongoing. Developing and improving patient/client literature by working closely with the User Group has been important. Working with the User Group on projects such as website content and layout has also been important.
