Nursing Homes

Clients with troublesome bladder and bowel symptoms are assessed and treated by Nursing Home staff.
The Continence Service provides education and support to Nursing Home staff to enable them to do this.
Where Nursing Home clients require continence products Surrey Primary Care Trust pays a direct payment for the Nursing Homes to purchase appropriate products for these individuals. If you work in or own a Nursing Home and would like to know more about the educational programme, link nurse network and support we offer please contact us.

Care Homes

Clients with troublesome bladder and bowel symptoms are assessed and treated by the Continence Service.
The Continence Service provides education and support to care assistants working in Care Homes. Where Care Home clients require continence products a maximum of 4 products per 24 hours can be supplied via the Continence Service. They are delivered in unmarked boxes on an agreed day by Synergy Health (UK) Ltd.

Products are supplied on a named patient basis and the Continence Service must be informed if they are no longer required for the client the products were prescribed for so that they may be collected.
