All groups are chaired by patients. A nominated clinician attends the meeting by invitation. Guest speakers are invited to speak on topics by group members. Groups meet quarterly and new members are always welcome. Meeting details of groups are given under each specialist group
For individuals unable to attend meetings their views can be contributed in writing or by email.
Where individuals have visual impairment and use reading aids, correspondence can be sent in larger size font to enable digital scanning and reading.
Continence Service User Group
This group enables those using the Continence Service to contribute their views to improve and develop the services. Since 2003 the group has assisted in the development of client information leaflets, contributed to national continence consultations, national and local guidelines and tenders. Urinary Catheter Support Group
The Catheter Support Group brings people together to share new information on catheters and catheter accessories and gain practical advice on solving catheter management problems or intermittent catheters. The Cystitis & Overactive Bladder Foundation Support Group Registered Group 37
This group is open to all individuals who have a diagnosis of Cystitis (bacterial or interstitial) or Overactive Bladder Syndrome. The Cystitis and Overactive Bladder Foundation Support Group was started by individuals with these medical conditions and brings people together to gain support through discussion, share practical advice on coping with these conditions and explore the evidence based treatments available for this condition.
